Izett W. Bassier, Pastor
Pastor Izett W. Bassier was born November 18th 1955 in Clarendon Jamaica, West Indies. The fifth child of the late Hazel James and Edwin Bassier: Pastor Bassier is a product of the Watsington Primary School in Lionel Town Clarendon, Jamaica; he also attended evening classes at the Vere Technical High School Hayes Clarendon, Jamaica. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in the year of the Lord 1975 at the age of 19. He was baptized on September, 19 1975 and became a member of Lionel Town Church of God of Prophecy. 

Pastor Bassier married the late Vivilyn Bassier on May 28, 1978 and remained happily married until his beloved wife went to be with the lord in 2003. Their union produced three children: Kayton, Latoya and Triston-Troy. He migrated to the United States on April 20, 1980. After coming to the United States he earned his High School Diploma from the New York Department of Education.

Pastor Bassier served faithfully as a member at the New Rochelle Church of God and was appointed and licensed by The Church of God of Prophecy in 1987. He served as the Associate Pastor for nine years under Pastor Bruce Scoten, Pastor Wily B. Smith and the Reverend Bishop Calvin C. Jones. He was appointed Pastor of the Ossining Mission in 1989 and in 1995 he was sent to the Gun Hill Church of God of Prophecy, where he served as the Senior Pastor for four years. In 2000 he started a mission church in White Plains, New York.

In 2001 he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from International Theological Seminary of California at their satellite school in the Bronx, NY and attended Dutchess Community College in 2005. In 2009 he earned his Master of Arts Degree in religion from Canon Bible College and Seminary of Orlando Florida.

Pastor Bassier is now married to reverend Millicent Abrahams-Bassier. In 2006 they founded the Word of Life Christian Assembly in New Windsor, NY where he served as the Senior Pastor. On September 1, 2011 he was appointed as the Senior Pastor of Hope Chapel Mission Church of Christ; Salisbury Mills, NY by the Reverend Dr. Alvin D. Gunther founder and now Pastor Emeritus.

It is Pastor Bassier's strongest belief that God has placed each member in the body as it pleases Him and that we must hold loosely all that is not eternal.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5:18
